ZOAHARIAN.COM – This week could be the right time to schedule a holiday to Bandung City. There is a beautiful view that adorns one of the city's iconic areas, namely Braga Street.
The tabebuya flowers that grow along Jalan Braga are blooming again. Yellow flower petals falling on the road combine with rows of Art Deco style buildings, creating an Instagrammable atmosphere.
In the morning, the Braga area also looks busy with residents and tourists. There are those who take a leisurely walk, exercise, cycle, and even stop for a moment to capture the moment with a cellphone camera.
Funky (27), a resident of Bekasi who was visiting Bandung, admitted that he was happy to be able to come when the tabebuya was blooming.
"Very lucky, the view is very beautiful," he said.
According to him, tabebuya flowers are even more attractive when combined with historical buildings on Jalan Braga.
"It's also good for taking photos, because you can't see this view all the time," he said.
This sight also amazed Intan (21), a student from Solo. He came to the Braga area with his friends by bicycle from the Buahbatu area.
"It's quite amazing, this is really cool," said Intan.
He admitted that initially he just wanted to cycle casually. However, when he passed through Braga and saw tabebuya blooming, he was immediately interested in enjoying the atmosphere.
"Just while riding, when I passed here the tabebuya was blooming, ah, that's really cool," he added.
Asian and African roads are also busy
Not far from Braga, the morning atmosphere also feels lively in the Jalan Asia Afrika area. Residents were seen doing activities, from cycling, jogging, to just sitting and relaxing around the Merdeka Building.
A number of points such as the Merdeka Building area, under the Asia Afrika JPO, Bola Dunia, and Palestine Walk are still people's favorite places to enjoy the atmosphere of the center of Bandung City.
The Bandung Square Bus Stop also seemed crowded with people. Some came to tour, while others waited for the bus to continue their journey.
Weekend crowds can also be felt on a number of other roads, such as Jalan Naripan, Lembong, Wastukencana, Merdeka, LLRE Martadinata, and Jalan Ir H Djuanda which leads to the Upper Dago area.
With tabebuya flowers blooming, the atmosphere of Bandung is even more interesting to explore.
For tourists who are looking for a destination for a relaxing walk and photo hunting, Braga and the Asia-Africa region could be on your list of destinations this weekend.
