ZOAHARIAN.COM – Rumors of Karim Benzema joining Persib Bandung suddenly made Bobotoh busy. The name of the former Real Madrid striker appeared in discussions regarding the Maung Bandung transfer and immediately sparked speculation on social media.

However, is it true that Karim Benzema will come to Bandung?

Until now,there has been no official announcement from Persib Bandung stating that Benzema will join Bobotoh's proud club.

The rumor started with a short answer from the Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB), Adhitya Putra Herawan, when asked about the new players that Persib was preparing.

Instead of naming the player who was really being hunted, Adhitya answered briefly with the name of the French star.

"Yes, Karim Benzema," said Adhitya.

This statement then circulated widely on social media. It didn't take long for Benzema's name to be immediately linked to Persib and this made Bobotoh wonder.

However, the situation later received an explanation. Adhitya's mention of Karim Benzema's name was just a joke, not a transfer announcement or a sign that Persib was negotiating with the player.

This is important because Karim Benzema is not a random name in the world of football.

The French striker is one of the important players in Real Madrid's modern history. With the Spanish club, Benzema won various prestigious titles and reached the peak of his career by winning the 2022 Ballon d'Or.
