The news of Kanaya Wulan's departure was conveyed directly by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, via a post on social media. In the upload, Dedi conveyed his feelings of loss as well as his best prayers for the figure he called his brother.

Kanaya reportedly breathed her last breath at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung.

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Has passed away to Rahmatullah, our brother Teh Kanaya, at RSHS Bandung," wrote Dedi Mulyadi in his upload.

Dedi then prayed that Kanaya Whulan would get the best place in the sight of Allah SWT. He also hopes that all of the deceased's good deeds will be accepted and that all mistakes and sins will be forgiven.

"Hopefully the late Husnul Khatimah, all his deeds of worship will be accepted by Allah SWT, all his mistakes and sins will be forgiven, and he will get the best place by His side," he continued.

Not only for the deceased, Dedi also expressed prayers for the families left behind. He hopes that Kanaya's family will be given courage, strength and sincerity to face this departure.

"May the family left behind be given perseverance, strength, and sincerity. Amen Ya Rabbal 'Alamin," he said.

Kanaya Wulan's passing is a loss for her family, friends, fellow musicians and fans. His name is known as the vocalist of Emka 9, a music group formed by Dedi Mulyadi and has appeared on several occasions in various activities in West Java.
