Jakarta Remains Conducive After Student Demonstration, Pramono Anung Ensures Public Facilities Are Safe

ZOAHARIAN.COM – DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung confirmed that there was no damage to public facilities in the capital city following the student demonstration on Wednesday (28/10/2026). Based on reports until early morning, public assets and facilities were reportedly maintained.

Pramono appreciated the orderly implementation of the demonstration. He also expressed his thanks to the TNI-Polri ranks and the demonstrators who helped protect public facilities so that they were not damaged.

According to Pramono, public facilities are shared assets that must be protected, including when the community expresses their aspirations through demonstrations.

This appreciation was conveyed after the regional government received a comprehensive report regarding the conditions in Jakarta after the demonstration. From the report, no damage was found to public facilities as a result of this action.

Orange Troops Moved Until Early Morning

Not only ensuring the safety of public facilities, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is also moving quickly to restore the cleanliness of the areas that have become demonstration points.

Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Officers (PPSU) or orange troops were deployed under the command of the Mayor of Central Jakarta to clean up the remaining rubbish at a number of action locations.

Officers worked until the early hours of the morning to ensure that the demonstration area was clean again. The cleaning process was completed at 02.00 WIB.

This quick action by officers is part of the effort to keep public spaces comfortable for the public to use after the demonstration activities end.

The student demonstration took place to coincide with the commemoration of the 98th Youth Pledge Day. In this momentum, students conveyed their aspirations in the capital's public spaces.

Pramono appreciated all parties who took part in maintaining order, security and cleanliness during the action.

The condition of public facilities which is maintained and the completion of cleaning up rubbish is a note in handling the demonstration this time. The regional government also ensures that attention to public assets remains an important part of maintaining the comfort of Jakarta residents.
